Pet Cleaning Needs

With having indoor pets there are going to be accidents at some time. Pet hair gets everywhere and dirty paws end up where they shouldn't be. There are several products out there to chose from, and most cost enough that you want to get"the one" that will work for you. Do you like just a good vaccuum or do you like a spot cleaner piece of equipment? Do you use a vaccuum and attach a special piece of equipment to your vaccuum to remove loose hair from your pet before it gets deposited in your house? Just wondering before I "invest" in some new equipment on what really works for people, can you supply some answers?

With 7 dogs I have to vacuum everyday sometimes 2 x's a day. I have an aussie that sheds all the time and a long haired chihuahua that sheds constantly too. I used to have a rainbow vacuum but now I have a shop vac. I use vinegar for urine mishaps, I have all hardwood floors so I use WD40 on them every two weeks to try to keep oil in them.
