Starch Blocker pills

Hi! Has anyone tried using the starch blocker pills that are made from white kidney beans? I saw an article in Woman's World and wondered if they were effective and safe. Has anyone used them and were there any side effects? It almost sounded too good to be true. Thanks for any info you can give. Gloria

I've been wondering about these myself. I can't find them in any store around here though. I'll be anxious to find out if anyone has used them effectively.

I would like to know more about these too. Starchy foods are my weakness, my downfall. Wouldn't it be great if these worked? ANd where do you get them? I hope we hear about someone that knows.

I read the ad and it sounds too good to be true.. Oh it's a starch blocker alright..... it grabs your money so you can't afford the starches.... thus blocking them....*chuckle*

I read that same article in Woman's World and decided to try. I found them at our local health food store. The brand is Healthy Origins, Phase 2, Starch Neutralizer. A little pricey, $24.99 for 90 capsules. They had just received them so didn't know results from anyone yet.
I've been taking them a couple of weeks and have lost 3 lbs. Nothing to brag about, but I'll take it. It seems to have reduced my extreme cravings for "bready" or sweet anything.
I'll keep taking it, at least until this bottle runs out, and see what happens.
