You can go to Atkins.com for a complete outline of the diet. Check out thier message boards too. I know that there are some people who are on Atkins being a vegitarian but I dont know much about how they get the full amount of protein without eating any meat.
Have you considered the South Beach Diet? This one is a little more flexible and allows more fruits and veggies.
I started out on the SB diet and now Im on Atkins so if you have any questions, Ill try to be some help to you if I can.

Please read the website before you start the diet if you cant get the Atkins books. The are so many misconceptions about this diet. All of the info. that I read from the site is free, you dont have to sign up for anything to get the knowledge that you need.
Good Luck to you!! If you do chose Atkins, the first 2 weeks are the hardest but dont give up! It really does get easier from there.
