Cherry Fluff

This recipe was orginally posted by cau in the May 2011 What's for dinner thread.

Cherry Fluff
1 8oz of cream cheese softened

20oz can old crushed pineapple un drained
Cherry pie filling
½ chopped pecans
Cool whip

Beat cream cheese and pineapple together, add cherry pie filling and pecans mix well add cool whip. Refrigerate until serving

I’ve used strawberry pie filling, almonds and added coconut . I don’t see why you could not freeze it

I questioned that in the What's for Dinner thread. The answer I got was a large can of pineapple. I asked if she meant to say cold. She didn't go back and look at what she typed.
I didn't want to edit until I heard from the poster. Maybe I will just leave it. It is funny.
Or maybe I should have just changed it and not said anything. LOL I have things to learn yet. LOL

This sounds like something I would just love. DH doesn't eat this sort of thing but I will make it just for me.

You're probably right, she probably meant cold. I would just leave it like that. It made me smile.

I know that I would love this, too. My family doesn't eat these types of salads either ...but it's their losses.

Today I made Watergate salad and 5 cup salad to take in to school for the lunch that the PTA was providing today. They were so good...if I do say so myself!! I grew up with my Mom making both of them for picnics and other family gatherings. Neither my dh nor my kids would taste them. I added maraschino cherries to both for a little added color. Now I'm wishing that I would've save a little bit for me. lol!
