Frozen Dessert

1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
1/2 tsp almond extract
5 drops green food color
1/2 cup "candy coated mini candies"
1 quart chocolate ice cream, softened

Beat vanilla ice cream, extract and food color together till thick but spoonable. If it becomes too runny return it to the freezer a short while to thicken. Fod in candies. In another bowl beat chocolate ice cream till thick but spoonable. Spoon the two ice cream mixtures alternately into 18 medium muffin pans that have been lined with foil baking cups. Freeze all day or overnight. Makes 18 1/3 cup servings

Coffee Sherbet

2/3 cup sugar
4 cups strong coffee, hot
1/2 cup milk

Combine sugar and hot coffee till the sugar dissolves. Add milk and chill thoroughtly. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturer's directions. Serve immediately. This is good using flavored coffees also!
