why are chocolate colors so popular?

I just love them! Deep dark chocolates, milky soft down to the kacki colors..

I think they are rich and relaxing. What do you think?

I am guessing that because so many of them contain all the other colors in almost equal balance that we like them, think of them as traditional.

I also think that they remind us of the outdoors, earthy literally, and so we find peace with them.

And because we think they blend well with almost any other color?

I like them too but don't have them in my house except my couch is brown and rust and cream and sage so maybe that is why, although I picked the couch colors because they wouldn't show dirt!

I do have a a nice dark brown with light blue and white striped cover for our bed which is in a dark stain.
I don't go for to many really dark colours in general, I try for light and bright.
Sometimes a love a look but it just wouldn't go in my house

I love dark expresso colored furniture...dining room tables, end tables, hutches, and entertainment furniture..

But not chocolate colored walls,or comforters....I like to use cream walls, and white ceilings, along with airy, minimal window coverings..for I crave alot of light in my rooms. I like the clean lines, white gives.

Then I pick a "pop" of color for each area, either in lamps, pillows, knicknacks, throws, quilts, etc.
