I have nieces and nephews ranging in age from 6 to 13 and I am looking for some crafts that will keep them busy. I have looked online and found some interesting ones (most of which require numerous supplies. Money is tight) Do you have any favorites that went over well in previous Thanksgivings that wont cost a fortune for 6 kids.....?thanks...

Hi there one craft my kids liked was taking a styrofoam cup and making it into a pilgrams hat. Use brown paper to cover cup ad a brown crcle with the inside cut out to make your brim Add black and gold belt and buckle. They then made some chex party mix and filled the cups. They gave one to each person at thanksgiving dinner.

Take a pine cone and cut some colored feathers add a dab of glue and insert them in the one end. Add a neck and head to the front and you have a turkey.

I will try and think of some more

hugs debbie

the buns

[quote=missibob]Attachment 24174I think this is a old craft, but it is the first time that I have done it. I will be taking this kitchen centrepiece to my daughter-in-law's on Thanksgiving Day. [/

I was just wondering if anyone has ever made Pilgrims out of Reader's Digest books. We use to a LONG time ago but I can not remember all the details.
