Does anyone have a Pullen Pleater? I want to start doing smocking and I've never used anything except the iron one grids, which I cannot find any more. I just wondered if anyone had one, how do you like it, and is it worth the money?

My mom has a pleater and we just decided last week to get it out and use it. Extrememly easy to use, but unless you are going to be doing lots and lots (between us we have 4 girls, my two and her adopted two, all under age 3) of smocking at this point it may be easier to find someone to do the pleating for you.
I know you can buy pre-pleated inserts online or check at the local sewing center. I don't think it's that expensive and it will get you started without a lot of initial investment.
