Recycle T Shirts into Winter Scarfs

I saw this featured in our local newspaper along with the link to the woman's site who is selling them... what a cool idea and Wow! on what she's charging for them. I think it would be a fun project to either use what you have or go thrift store hunting for some neat designs to put together.

Anna, these are a great idea! DD1 is always looking for ideas to use up old t-shirts that she can't seem to let go of. I have bookmarked this for her to look at. Thanks for sharing!

You could use fabric glue instead... trust me, it sticks! I use it on my purses all the time, you can get it at Joann's and recently I've been buying mine at Family Dollar, it's in on a end cap with the sewing thread, etc. I can't remember right now what the brand name is but it comes in a white tube like toothpaste, you just squirt where you want it to be attached to the fabric, let it set overnight and it's glued tight. It's great to use for those iron on fabric appliques too. Oh and btw, at Family Dollar it runs about $2 a tube, Joann's is much higher priced. A tube will last quite awhile though.

The fabric glue I use is called Liquid Stitch. Just checked the bottle while I was in my crafting room.
