Pattern for Towel Toppers

I would like a pattern for knitting or simple crocheting for making the tops that are attached to kitchen hand towels. Then you can hang them up with the button tab. Popular here "downunder" but I can't locate a simple pattern. Thanks

This is a pattern that I located searching About.com./crochet.

TOWEL HANGER
* * An original pattern by Polmraiser * *




MATERIALS: About a 15" wide hand towel, Size C hook, Size G hook, 1 button, any color 4 ply worsted weight yarn.

DIRECTIONS:

Row 1: Use C hook to make 46 sc into towel, ch 3, turn.
Row 2: Use G hook; dc into each sc, ch 3, turn.
Row 3: Dc into every other dc across, ch 3, turn.
Repeat Row 3 until you have 8 dc left. Then dc in each dc for 9 rows.

Finishing: Add button.

I bought a nice hanger from a neighbor of mine in her yard sale.
She crochets the topper part, adds a large ring (wide mouth jar ring) or you could use a macrame ring. She crochets over the ring with yarn. It has the button arrangement at top to hang over a oven door or cabinet handle.
I like it best as you can hang any towel. Most of the crocheted hanger towels are just too thin and get wet too fast.
