Nieces visiting this summer

My nieces are visiting again for a week this summer. Last year the craft box went over pretty well and I did some scapbooking with the older two. Any more ideas for me? I need fresh inspiration since I am not used to regularly having kids around.
Ages, 14, 11, 8 and 5.

hugs, train

Train, you might check out your library for the "What to do" book for your state on what free or cheap things there are in your area to do.

A call to the chamber of commerce should also let you know locally what is going on to do with the girls. Visit a local museum with a packed lunch then stop at a park on the way home to make a day of it.

The really big things around my 11yr old are movies and Wii. They are good for all ages, and you can rent both.
Science museums are good too cause the older ones can act like kids again with the little ones and no one cares!
Bowling, mini golf, go karts and water slides. All good for all ages.
Hope this helps some!

Thanks Roberta and Cooked!
Remember the OLD days of "koolaid and go outside and play" and you didn't have to "plan" activities for a visit! LOL!!

hugs, train

You could do a picnic and swim day that should tire them out.

Have a pizza and movie slumber party night. If you live in a big town and have an amusement park they could do a day there.

Also, if you sew maybe you could show them some sewing techniques. By making halters out of Bandana's. Or shirts with elastic waist bands.

Or teach them to knit, crochet, or make jewelry, barettes, hairties.

Bake cookies and have a Tea Party with them dressing up fancy.

Have a nice visit.

Someone took my suggestion, so I'll just say that is so cool that you do that for your sibiling (give them a week off) and for your nieces!

I was going to say a picnic in the park but that has already been said.
How about a day at the Zoo or an afternoon at a Children's Museum?
