Greeting Cards

Does anyone have any ideas on greeting cards?
I like to make lots of them, right now I do embroidery of paper, tea bag folding , 3d, and just tried my hand at 3d Crystal Lacquer ones with material. It turned out OK but can do better with more practice. Would love to hear about your ideas on some greeting cards.

I do rubber stamping--takes money to build up some supplies, but then it is a LOT of fun!

2 Christmases ago I also made card with "gold foil" available at your local craft store. I layered a couple of different color pieces of cardstock (different sizes), sponged the edges on some with some ink from an ink pad in a coordinating Christmas color. I then freehand "drew" a design on the top piece with a hot glue gun. I did Christmas trees, ornaments, snowmen, etc.--does not have to be very fancy to look elegant when you are done. If I remember right--you let the glue cool/dry and then put a piece of gold foil on the top and rub it so it sticks to the top of the design. You then take an old toothbrush and "brush" away the extra gold foil, leaving your design behind in brilliant gold!

As I did more, I got so I would frugally tear off little scraps of the gold foil to cover the design so I did not have to "waste" a whole sheet at once.

Hope this makes sense! It looked really nice, and I got a lot of compliments!

I used to do some rubber stamping but I'm too lazy and busy these days for that. I have gazillions of em though and maybe oneday I'll start doing it again......

Prairie Rose--I have both bought and sold used stamps on Ebay--just in case you end up deciding some day to get rid of some--try Ebay!

I'm trying to put in a picture of a Christmas Card that I make with sewing on paper (embrodiery on paper) , I hope it comes through.

hi,i make cards using spray painting .and.....using dried leaves...and satin ribbon flower....some laces....and use origami

Have you tried to make some with homemade paper or maybe with that neat Japanese paper they sell nowdays. Using stamps to decorate or you could use stickers when you are making your own paper and they would become part of it.

I do stamping also it is so much fun and it worth the money. If you don't want to spend the money up front try a demo class most store do have them and if not try and fine a demonstrator that sell and they have stamp camp which are fun for a small fee and you make about 3 to 4 cards.
