How to turn your pictures into Counted Cross Stitch Pictures
Has anybody who does Counted Cross Stitch ever use the programs that takes your pictures and turns them into graphs and tells you all the colors you need to cross stitch the picture? If you have are they good and where is a good place to get the program. Thanks
I have PC Stitch 6, but have not used it. I did convert a few photos into graphs to see how it looks, and it's very cool! One of these days maybe I'll actually do a crosstitch!
I think the software is around $30, (but I got it on eBay for much less!)
I believe Mary Maxim...a catalogue company used to have it in their books......I have always thought it would be neat to do a black and white of each of my kids.

I have seen it in the Mary Maxim but have always wondered how good the graphs turned out. I guess i will order myself one just to see. If it works good can you imagine how many nice pictures you could cross stitch?
I have never done a conversion of a picture to cross stitch, but I do design lots of my own cross stitch patterns. I just use a large sheet of graph paper and do them in pencil.
I have seen several programs for converting a picture to cross stitch in the back of different magazines. When I see them again I'll try to find myself back to this thread and post them. If anyone does one before then I would love to know also how easy it was to do! Cross Stitch is my passion!
