Thumbs up Left over spaghetti craft

I was reminded of a favorite of my kindergarten students when I ended up with a pot of cold spaghetti noodles last night. We used it at Christmas time but it can be done anytime. My own children used to beg me to make "too much spaghetti" so we could make window hangers! A fond memory!!
Recipe:
cold cooked spaghetti noodles
white glue thinned with a bit of water
glitter, sequins etc
wax paper

put the glue mix on a paper plate; drag the spaghetti thru the glue and then place in a pretty design on the wax paper. Use as many pieces of spaghetti as desired. Before the glue dries sprinkle with glitter etc. Once the glue dries and the spaghetti creation is stiff it should peel off the wax paper and be ready to display. Have fun!!!!

Sounds fun (and a bit messy, but kids love that) and inexpensive. Also sounds like a craft that a large age range would enjoy. Thanks for the idea.

Maddie will love this. Anything to get messy and get her hands in it.

When my daughter was in grade school, she made me a centerpiece from an old shoe.

Materials:
old high heel
glue
macaroni
spray paint
floral block or strip
flowers, greens

Glue the maracroni on the shoe, spray paint it. Cut block or strip to fit into shoe. Decorate with flowers and greens.

The shoe she did for me was spray painted gold and filled with Christmas greens and little ornaments.

That was 30 some years ago and I no longer have the shoe to take a picture of it. The macaroni started falling off. This is a cute idea. Maybe some of you would like to let your children try it.
