Is anyone doing a snow theme for the winter and want to share ideas

After Christmas, I plan on putting up a white/blue wreath I made and large snowflakes made from six-pack plastic thingys stapled together & spray painted white. I saw them at a local office a couple of years ago & asked the lady how she made them. She couldn't remember, but I did a websearch for them & found the pattern. I thought I'd hang them from the windows of the house & maybe put a couple in the trees.

Funny, christmas is in summer here but the decorations lead to snow themes a lot of the time!
We usually do snow things out of the quilters wadding, snowmen and women are the easiest, the 2 balls of styrafoam or the like with a slice off the bottom off the lower one to make it sit flat and just tie and decorate with scarf and hat as you wish. For lack of anything else we also use the quilters wadding cut in a circle for the bottom of the christmas tree.

Thanks for the ideas, I'm going to have to try these. It seems most people take all their decorations down after Christmas and go right to Valentines day. I like to keep my snowmen, snowflakes etc. up and add more to them. Can you tell me favorite time of year is winter.

would love to know how you make the snowflake, is it kid friendly? how many of those 6 packs do you need? one for each child?

Depends on the age group you're planning on working with for this...

I couldn't find the original website where I found the instructions, but on the scouting crafts webpage, I found similar directions and another page with pictures of finished products made by children (pictured).
