you could also use the egg cartons, stuff them with dryer lint then pour the melted crayon over the lint.

blushing

Hopefully this isn't already posted, but what my daughter and I did was take all the old crayons and we sharpened them all and saved all the shavings. Then we made pictures with all the shavings by glueing the shavings on the paper. Make the picture with the glue first then place the shavings! Its great fun and so colorful when finished.....

some schools have been doing a fundraiser using old broken crayons. I think they make new crayons out of them but not sure.

You could hold a Big Yellow Box party and get a crayon maker for free. That will use up your old broken crayons too. Let me know if you want to have a party. I'll hook you up.

What is Yellow Box Party?
the 2nd graders of the school my gd goes to made the crayons to sell. They turned out nice. My gd brought some too.

another thing you could do with old crayons is to melt down the wax and use it to dip tiny rolled up newspaper to make fire starters out of.

I just found this page I earmarked under my favorites. Thought you might be interested. It's for making jewelry out of crayons.
