If it were me I think I would start over. I mean if the lights are more than you think is safe use a bigger jar. Or if the jar is say a pint size use a quart size. They get a little warmer than warm but not so hot they will burn you. I don't think that is safe. Good luck and be safe.......Dcrafty4
