Kathy funny how that works isn't it....I buy most of mine from the states right now. The Canadian dollar has been so strong so we are almost par. The last ones I got for 35 plus 5 dollars shipping each...so 40 for each one.......here the cheapest is 90 for one or Michaels at 120!!!! Yikes!!!! I am undecided about the DS. I have seen the great things gals are making but I am so computer illiterate unless someone drops by and shows me I am lost. Maybe down the road. I have 19 cartridges now and I do use most....mainly the fonts though. I am working on New York still...posted some pages in the gallery...think this trip will be 2 albums long...Yikes

Hugs debbie

Page layouts and albums can be as small or as large as you wish to make them.

You can make cute little 3, 4 or 5 page 5x7 inch albums as gifts. Making a couple of holes with a single hole punch and tie with ribbon.
Easiest way ...
Use cereal box cardboard, cover printed side with a scrapping paper and trim to size.
Place on your photo with any trimmings/sayings/dates.
Pop in a couple of holes with a single hole punch making sure you line the holes up so pages match.
Tie with some ribbon but not to tight as you need to turn pages OR you can get a split metal ring almost like a curtain ring.
And voila it's done.

*note it is easier to stick paper first then trim the cardboard to the right size for a neater edge.

If you're not worried about how long it will keep scrap paper is not essential and scanned photos work a treat.

I've done this as a gift for a girlfriend using photos of us as teenagers, she loved it as she didn't have some of those photos.

I'm working on some more for gifts for xmas.

I made this page using dd1's wedding invitation. I had to take the ribbon off the embellishments and replace them with the tangerine. I also framed the invitation with matching ribbon that was on the invitation.
I plan on using the same tangerine paper to make a wedding album.
Oh, I put a white vellum with white hearts on it over the page.

I've caught up on a few scrapping pages this last week, then got a new printer that wouldn't fit where the last one was and have had to rearrange my room to fit it in and have only just got it to rights again.
We've not done much this year so it will be quick to catch up photos and be up to date

Any new pages lately? I got in rut and haven't done much crafting of any kind.

I've been doing a lot more cards than layouts Coll, and the boys aren't around as much to take photos so there are a lot less photos taken, I'm pretty much up to date
