I haven't been doing much on scrapbooking this week because I'm getting ready for christmas. I did find a big book on scrapbooking, it shows different layouts but it will have to wait until after Christmas for me to read it all. Deb your layouts are neat I'll be checking back here for ideas this winter.

You have inspired me to begin scrapbooking again! Your layouts are so beautiful!!

I started scrapbooking 2 years ago and it lasted about a year. I made 2 scrapbooks and they turned out pretty good for a beginner. Mostly I met with 2 friends and we scrapped together and I went to 2 "crops."
I enjoyed making the scrapbooks very much...........BUT:

After I filled the 2 scrapbooks, I couldn't afford to buy another book (quit my job) and all the materials are so very expensive.

I got frustrated when, after it took so long to just get my stuff organized ( we met at a craft store..and a few times at each others homes)..........I would do only one or 2 pages!! I was SO slow!!!

And........I look at all the pictures I have......45 picture albums dating back to the 60s (No Joke) not to mention all the pictures that are not even IN albums, and I realize I would NEVER get them all in scrapbooks!!!

I guess I should just enjoy the activity and not worry about getting them all into scrapbooks!!
So, Debbie...thanks for your inspiration and I am thinking of calling my 'scrappin girlfriends...and giving it another try!!!

Thanks for your kind words. Scrapbooking can be as expensive or as inexpensive as you chose. I just love that I am putting history in words and pics for my kids and their kids some day. I started with 92 when mike and I met and I hope to someday catch up to the present. I know what you mean about photos laying around. I went to one scrapbook class and all I did was organize my photos!!! Now they are done. I love getting together with my friends and scrapbooking. We use the local school, it costs us 5 dollars each and everyone brings their tools and shares. this way we have a good selection. It is a nice evening out. Right now I am scrapbooking my hubby's tour in Kuwait. I think I will take some pics and share with you later.

Donna I agree Debbie's pages are an inspiration plus they are very beautiful.
Debbie I still haven't found time to do it yet I have another long weekend coming up so I'm thinking of having someone watch Emily so I can scrapbook...she keeps getting into my stuff and when I tell her to stop she just says"but mommy I want to help" LOL Well take care and have a good night.
