I Need Some Advice Please?

Okay girls, I need some advice here.
I do alot of plastic canvas but do not usually
sell it, so I do not know how to price items
very well.

I have been asked to make some Friendship
Coffee/Tea Cups for another crafter to use in
their products.

If you could,please go to the following link,
have a look at this project and let me know
what a fair price would be.

She wants 25 of these to start with and may
be ordering more in the future. I want to be
fair to her but also I have to be fair to myself
as well. I cut them out tonight (50) pieces in
all and it took me approx. 2 1/2 to 3 hours to
do all the cutting.

I would say $2.00 each, she should be able to get resell on them for $3.50 to $4.00 each.

Dear Breezy,

I too do plastic canvas projects. I had projects for sale in a craft store here in PA. I have come to find that if you don't price plastic canvas very cheaply, it won't sell.

I don't think you would get more than 50-75 cents a piece for them here. It may be different in your area.

I made a beautiful bridal shower centerpice a few years ago. It was a bride and groom bear, they were facing each other , holding hands. The bride had hand tied pearls on her dress. I priced it at $25. In the end I only got $8 for it. It was a lot of timne and hard work. And the $8 only covered my supplies.

Let me know how you work things out. It is a cute project.

i do plastic canvas. the sad thing about it is that while your supplies for this project are cheap your time is what costs. this is why i will never sell - and i have been asked to and told i should. what you deserve for your time won't be paid unless it is something that they REALLY want. since you have already started, keep track of how long it takes you, and try to put a price on your time.
