Cyn if you paint the cute little bears on your soaps, no one is gonna want to use the soap though, I wouldnt, and ruin all your hard work painting it!!Is that what you meant, you are gonna paint them right on the soap??

Cy n ,thanks and i do not mind you Stealing my ideas...I stole them too!LOL

Sandie I think the soaps are ornatmental with scent in to make everything smell purrrrtty...at least I would not use them either. I would put them in a little basket and sit them in the bathroom by the towels or not to close to the sink, wouldn't want someone to use them by accident!LOL

Hey guys, you can use them!!!!! They dissolve from the bottom up and the painted surface is protected so using the bar doesn't harm the image!!!!!!! I've been using one I painted for the past 3 months and the image still looks like brand new! It's the products you use to seal the soap and the painting!

But if you don't want to use it you can use it for decorative purposes. I use a non-smelling soap (Pure and Natural that I buy from the dollar store. Look under the craft forum for Painting on Soap - I've explained everything there.

Thanks Candy for the great ideas. Sandie I love your pic! Now I put a face with the friend who let "Jiminy Cricket" out of her purse. LOL

love, cyn

You are so talented... I love the photos too.

Cyn

I make soaps too so I'm quite anxious to see your painted soaps. I've done some stickers on soap, then painted clear wax over the top for sealer but have never used them so don't know how long it stayed on. I've done imbeds too but didn't really like those to well, it tended to float to the top.

I just discovered this lovely thread. You have inspired me to find some of my craft endeavours (and some UFO's) and try to get a picture or two here!
You ladies are very talented.

OK. Here, I hope, is a picture of a quilt type thing I made. This is the first one of these I have attempted, and I am quite happy with the finished product, although it is a bit crooked at one corner! Oh well.

Very pretty quilty thingy.... I too love seeing what other crafters do. And we have so much talent on here so keep watching, this is a good time of year as we gear up for craft shows and Christmas gift making ideas.
