Craft Club - August 2008 - Froggy Note Holder

Welcome to the August 2008 Craft Club! This month we need to start thinking about Back To School crafts. A very simple and cute project we have here at FC is the Froggy Note Holder made from craft sticks and a clothespin.

The deadline for this project is August 31st and you can join in at any time before that date. Remember to post your progress, comments, and anything else about the project as you go along.

As an extra challenge, i'd love to see any variations of this craft. For example, instead of a frog, how about making a "Johnny Note Holder" or "Jenny Note Holder". Cut out a photo of your child's face to put on the head, make clothes out of felt or construction paper, or anything else you can think of! Make different animals, or change the way THIS frog looks by making his body part different (foam or wood circle for his head, mini craft sticks for shorter arms and legs, etc). You get the idea

Can't wait to see what our crafty FC members come up with for this one!

Amanda--I just checked out the new craft and think I will probably take your challenge and make something that will work for a parent whose children are older (High school/ college). I am thinking about using school colors or mascots instead, but who knows what will pop in my head??????

I've had problems transferring my photos from my camera to the computer so I haven't posted my potato beads although we made them.
We will work on the next project as well and maybe we will figure out whats up with the camera.
