Patti- They've done a wonderful job of restoring the building in Charleston that were not a total loss. My granddaughter lives on James Island, just outside of Charleston, works in Charleston.
I hope you get to go to the commissary. I only went once in FL after my husband retired from the Navy, then we divorced and I was not hear a base but I hear they have good prices. I can't complain about the great prices we get at the regular grocery stores in the Upstate of SC when we use coupons.
Glad to hear that Blondie, Charleston is such a pretty place. Yes waiting for Stace & Shayla (her foster dau) to come get me now. Stace called me last nite few mins after I got off here to let me know her $$ was in bank YEA!! So got my coupons, cold/frozen bags and regular bags ready to go out the door oh yes purse too. Without that I would not get very far. She just called she is almost here. So see everyone sometime this after noon. We will go eat first then comm then who knows what lol

Ladies, September is NATIONAL COUPON MONTH!! Manufacuters distributed 320 billion coupons (did not hear the dollar amount) in 2009.
The news said that more people are taking advantage of coupons in these economically challenged times.
I know I use my share of that number of coupons, and fully believe we all should. I really do believe that it is my duty to be a good steward of the money God allows me to have.
Ladies, better go for now. Just went outside, and turned the water off which was watering the tomatoes. Now I can wash the last 2 loads of laundry for the week.
Patti, I am always heartened when I see people with coupons, especially men. They are so cute, kinda unsure for the most part, not wanting to be embarassed.
Not much going on today. I have to go to a viewing this evening. Today I have to go find a skein of yarn to finish a hat/scarf set.

They are like the Kroger & CellFire e-coupons that you load to your Kroger card.
Love those sales with manu coupon plus an e-coupon.
We don't have that one either. We use to have Safeway and I liked it but it and Big Star, Winn Dixie have been gone good while. Wish we had a Piggly Wiggly here always loved that store

Norma - the men got on my nerves in the store today, would park their shopping cart sideways in the middle of the aisle, then walk back for what they wanted on the shelf. I had to tell the cashier that I thought every man in Anderson was in the grocery store today! I purchased $12 and paid $3.42 using coupons. I love the new Tide stain remover gel packs,no perfume, no color, $3.48 and the $3 Tide coupon works on that. I used it on my white wash and didn't have to use bleach. Also, no smell at all, great as I have asthma. I'd be hesitant to use the gel packs in a home washer, I use the laundromat. You could open the gel packs and dump out the contents in a home machine. They have the gel packs for dishwashers and they have gunked up some dishwashers according to repairmen.
Cooler here in the Upstate of SC, but supposed to be back in the 90's tomorrow after starting out in the low 60's.
