We had our Sunday meeting of the Yankee Clipper Coupon club at one woman's Karate Studio, 4 women in attendance. The mashed sweet potatotes made from the box of Betty Crocker ones was a big hit.
Made an early morning trip and a Midnight Run to Bloom today, total purchased $83, total paid $1.49, so a good day.

Good evening all!!

Patti, I received your envie today. Thanks for sharing.

Blondie, sounds like you had another good shopping trip.

Cheryl, I will be looking forward to your envie.

There will be 3 inserts in the papers this Sunday - including a P&G one.

Take care all, and Happy Clipping, and great savings.

Norma

Norma - it was not only a good shopping day, but a pretty one when it was not raining. The cashier got a big umbrella for me this evening as it was raining hard, walked out with me with her own umbrella and took the one she gave me back into the store. I told her I was going to write to Corporate and tell them what great customer service she gave me!

Good morning all!!

Blondie, that was really nice of that cashier to help you out in a nasty rain.

I made 2 orders at my store yesterday, and on one I saved more than I paid, and on the other one it was close.

I was going to one of the local stores this morning because they have toothpaste at $1 a tube. There are no coupons out right now for this, but I thought I might be a little light on stock. But I checked my stock this morning, found 6 tubes I didn't know I had. Added to my stock I knew about, that should get me through next year without having the buy any. This means a saving on my time, and peace of mind.

Take care all!! Norma

We have had the mashed sweet potatoes here. The family loved them. I am the only one that likes regular sweet potatoes. So I was very happy with that. I can make these more often to change things up a little.

Wish they had a coupon for these mashed sweet potatoes. Never had them but plan to buy them Wednesday when I go to the commissary.
Have cut out all of today's coupons most of which are going to you Norma. Still have Gina's to get and clip plus next doors

Good evening all!!

Patti, the coupon is not specific to the mashed sweet potatoes. It is for any Betty Crocker boxed or pouch potatoes (excluding buds).

I had decided not to buy them (without reading the label), because boxed potatoes of any kind generally have some added salt, that my blood pressure should not have. I can nuke a real one in 8 minutes or less, add some real butter (with salt in it), add a little Splenda brown sugar blend and be just as happy.

I have learned through trial and error, and error that if the real produce is available, it is the better product. I see it as a bad trade-off with my health. OK, off my soap box now.

You all take care. And Happy Clipping!! Norma

I agree with you on the fresh produce is 100% better than any box of same thing.
I don't care for either potato done in microwave but will if time is crucial.
Have you ever eaten WHITE sweet potatoes? I think they are sweeter took me good while to get my beloved Pop to try them once he did he always looked for them but of course bought the others if he could not find the white ones

Norma - Good you checked your stock of toothpaste and had enough to do you. I have a good stock too, purchased many free tubes for the VA and now my Auxiliary is only doing the birthday bags through Dec, so I can keep the rest of the free tubes for myself. You also did well on saving more than you paid.
Bought some mashed white potatoes on sale tonight for $.99 for a lb. package. They do have sodium in them but not too high. I, too, watch the sodium in foods and plan my meals accordingly.
Tonight, I purchased $45 in groceries for $7.
The Sunday meeting of our coupon club went well with 6 in attendance, seems that is all that is interested. Today, there were 2 new women, but the # is always 6! We hope to see the man who visited last week, or his wife and Mother who he promised to send.
