Bloom in SC is doing Triple Coupons again Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 20 per visit per day, up to $.99. I'm busy pulling my $.75 coupons. I live 2 miles from Bloom, have started shopping there more often, so know the prices pretty well. The news anchor even mentioned the Triple Coupon on her Money Saving segment of the news. She said she'll shop Friday and will tell us about her savings that night on TV. I can also post my savings on the news channel website.

Good morning all!!

Karen, I am glad you figured out something that works for you. I will be looking for that envie.

Blondie, who knows, if you post your savings on that website, they might come back to you for another story, maybe even go shopping with you, and go with you to drop off all the goodies you get for your DAV Aux.

Take care all!! Norma

Norma - Thanks for your kind words. Two years ago, before I really perfected using coupons, I did a coupon shopping trip through a local store with the local news. They had done it with a woman in another store, asked on TV for our comments. I said, "I can do that!" So, they set up a time and brought their camera crew. We had it approved through the store mgt. I purchased $42 and paid $14, thought that was good, but now can save 90% in most cases.
Thanks for the envelope of coupons. It arrived just in time for the Triple Coupon Shopping Trip. Yesterday was the first time I'd seen a coupon spit out at the register at Bloom when I bought a certain product. I've seen it happen at Bi-Lo, Publix, Ingles, Food Lion. It did it two different times, $5 each time on the next order, to be used on the next order, not specifically that product! The savings add up!
I still have Saturday and Sunday to do more shopping trips, and I have a good supply of coupons. After 3 trips to 3 different Bloom stores yesterday, I purchased $108 for $11 and used 3 gallons of gas which is $1.71 here.
The news lady on TV posted her savings, bought $100, paid $60. I posted my savings on her Blog and they had to be approved. I'll listen tonight to see if she mentions my post. She is the one who did the Coupon Shopping Trip with me 2 yrs ago.

Blondie, that would be nice then if she can interview you again, and you can explain how you have "learned" since the last them she took you shopping.

Charlotte, I received your envie today. Thanks for sharing.

Norma - thanks for the idea. I never thought of the newslady interviewing me again to see how much I've learned. I met an employee of the Anderson Bloom store in Greenvlle. She did well with the coupons, told the cashier, "I've learned a lot about using coupons from my customers."
My 2 day total for shopping at Bloom is Purchased $231.11- Paid $32.86. One more day. On one trip today, I purchased $33 and piad $1.81.
My DAV Aux. doesn't get any of my groceries. They pay for the deodorants and toothpaste I buy for the b'day bags we make for the veterans at the local VA Nursing Home. Some of my free groceries go the my Church Food Pantry. Tomorrow, I'm anxious to look at the Coupon Box I made for the church to see if anyone has brought me coupons! I put a few pages from the coupon inserts in the box so that they can see what I want. Some women in the past have given me the whole inserts in the Sunday paper including the comics and the local dept. store ads.

Good afternoon all, I only got 1 insert in paper today. Have not clipped it yet as been on the phone with my nephew in Jersey they just buried his brother this past Friday and we were talking about that and catching up as we have not talked in good while (too long) and have not seen each other since 95. But that will change we will be in contact via email and phone.
But I will start clipping in a few after I eat a bite.

I only got one coupon insert in the newspaper. I'm finished the Triple Coupon weekend at Bloom grocery store at 9:30PM on Sunday night. My grand totals are: Purchased $300, Paid $38.40. I brought the cold things into the house. The non-perishables are still in the car, to be put in my pantry tomorrow! I learned that Bounty makes a lower priced paper towel, called Basic, but a good one, was on sale for $1. I had $.25 coupons which they tripled. I first took notice of this paper towel when the couponer behind me bought many of them. At that time, I didn't have any of those coupons with me, but sure did come home and look through my stash and found 18 of them! I used them on two trips to the grocery store as there is a limit of 20 on each trip. I don't like to buy 20 of the same item.
