I called my girlfriend and canceled for the yardsale tomorrow.
After all, she "passed out" and had her heart attack on Memorial Day just trying to get dressed to go march in a parade. No way was she going to come to my house, and have another episode. I told her another time when it gets cooler.
Carol Ann - so glad you are better. I was getting a little concerned.
I didn't get too excited at the grocery store today. I didn't do any of the Kellogg's deals, none of any of the "buy x amount of products" get a catalina back. My best buys included the leftover chicken and a "try me free" pack of candy that I have to do the rebate form for. I did well with Peter Pan Peanut Butter and Hefty trash bags. But not too exciting for me anyway.
There were 2 young men who obviously share an apartment ahead of me. They had a shopping cart full of all those deals. And they organized them all so well for the cashier. There were tons of Chef Boyardee cans, and Kraft BBQ sauce, etc. The catalina machine was spitting out coupons for their next trip. I was enjoying watching them. They got enough to total $50 off their next shopping trip. Hopefully there will be meat and veggies in that trip.
I was more excited yesterday by the great deals I got at CVS. I had enough Extra Care Bucks and coupons to snatch up 18 (12 oz.) Softsoap Body Wash (what yummy fragrances), 4 Herbal Essences shampoos and conditioners, 4 Listerine 24 ct. pocket paks, and 2 Purell Hand Sanitizers (12 oz) for just $.14. I made sure to grab some of the men's fragrance for those body washes. My boyfriend's birthday is next week, and I already tossed one to my nephew.
Well ladies, better go. I am chaperoning my nephew and his current girlfriend a little later, and need to get some stuff done around here.

My tomatoes are only 3 in number, and 2 have been long digested.
My nephew and I put weed block down between my house and the fence that is on the property line next door. Then we put lots of grass clippings on it to hold it down.
I am so tired. My co-worker is supposed to be coming back tomorrow - but we will see. I hope her husband is better.
Carol Ann, an envie went out today, and another one will be coming. My neighbor's mom gave her the inserts from her paper, and they came to me (and you) next!

Not much going on here. My co-worker's husband came home last Thursday from the hospital, and she came back to work yesterday. He called, said he didn't feel right, and off she went again. Can't blame her, we encouraged her to go. An EKG today didn't reveal much, so he has a halter monitor. But she has assured me she will be back tomorrow.
I am feeling myself once again. Thank you.
