Hi ! I received your envie today Georgia, and your additions to your lst. Also got an envie from Karen (Kay). ~ I picked up on that deal with the chili, Bette. Although at a different store.......ours was Farmer Jack Stores. That's my favorite chili. I use it on my coney-dogs! FJ had it on sale for $1.00 per can, and it is $2.19 a can regularly. So, every second can was only .25 per can! Can't beat that!!
Hi, everyone!
Carol Ann, I have a small envelope on the way to you.
I have been getting so much better lately with checking what coupons I have and matching them to my list and the sales BEFORE I go to the store--has been a big downfall in the past, but I am learning!
Have a great day!
Chris - you save so much more money when you combine the coupons with the sales.
Just because you get coupon for something you normally buy, doesn't mean that you have to use that coupon on your next shopping trip. I find that most of the time, the item will be on sale the following week.
That isn't always the case. Like this week at the store I normally shop at. They have 18 oz. containers of Quaker Oats for $.99. In this Sunday's inserts are coupons for $.50 off that size container - meaning free oatmeal. I just need to be able to stop on my way to/from work to take advantage of it.
Also, every time you are at the store, look for those coupons in the blinkie machines. I always get several. If they are not for something I buy, I usually send them on to Carol Ann, so that someone else can take advantage of it.
I do the same with those blinkies.....ya just never know.
Here's a way to save $ on printer paper and ink.
You know how some of the internet coupons print out, and then there's a huge ad that prints after?
If it's a coupon I've printed before, and I know all that ink is gonna be wasted, I'll tear the paper in half. My printer prints the coupon, and then when it starts into all the speel following it.....it recognizes there's not enough room to print it, and it stops.
I think all newer printers do this. Mine is 5 years old, and it does.
Bett

Lil'Sis, aka, janet, had puter problems, and had to ship it off to get repaired. So, it'll be quiet for awhile. Seems like we take turns with tthose problems! ~ Norma, I mailed you an envie this morning. ~ Michigan is really messed up, weatherwise. It's 48* right now, with scattered showers. Bet we get some really cold weather come March! Egads!
Carol Ann, I will be looking forward, with baited breath (does that mean I need to eat some sardines??) for that envelope.
It is so sad about Janet's 'puter. Hope it feels better soon.
My rider didn't ride home with me this evening, so...I went shopping.
I went to ShopRite and took advantage of the Quaker Oats coupons from this past Sunday's coupons, matched with their sale of $.99 for the 18 oz. size - 7 containers of free oatmeal!!! I didn't even haul it in the house, I just made sure I packed it separately so I can transfer it directly to Roseann's husband's van, to be taken to the mission tomorrow.
I also got 6 cans of College Inn Broth using a $1 off coupon, 12 cans of Del Monte veggies using 2 $1 off coupons, 6 cans of Del Monte tomatoes using a $1 off coupon, and 6 Del Monte fruit using a $1 off coupon. And now I qualify for a $10 rebate. That comes out to about $.50 a can - not bad, and I will use everything I bought.
Well ladies, I am off to get that rebate together.
Just wanted to share some bargins I got at Meijer. They were having a half off sale on some items and I took advantage of it with a few things. The regular price of the 25 oz. Joy dish detergent is $1.99,but was lowerd to .99 each. I had 15 coupons. So, I would have paid $29.85 for all, but with my coupons, only paid $8.05. I am now set for a year! Next were the Sara Lee Desserts, at $4.38, then half price at $2.38. I hd $1.00 coupons, and then it made them $1.19 each. I bought two cheesecakes. Oh yummy! I also had a $1.00 coupon for a can of Glucerna, which was at regular price of $1.19, and I bought one. All in all, I paid, with tax, $12.06 for all. I am a happy camper!! :dancing:
