Good morning all!!

I am still adding up my coupons savings for last years, but it looks to be over $2,000.00. This is in a large part thanks to Carol Ann.

Hopefully, next year will be even better.

Take care all!! Norma

What is a good way to keep track so you know how you are doing in the savings department?

I know approximately how much in coupons and have figured up the sales on top of that sometimes. Any suggestions would be welcomed, since I am determined to keep track and know what I am really saving this year.

I had added up my coupon savings for a couple of months (saved all receipts) and I averaged a $100 savings in coupons. Then if I included savings from sales and buying store brand vs. national I was saving an additional $100-200 a month.

I subscribe to the weekly & Sunday papers which both have coupons in them and that costs me $200 a year or the equavalant to one months of savings.

Way to go Maryann!

What great savings you had..I wish our stores would double..

I saved $5.00 on a bag of Iams dog food..Thanks to Carol Ann!

I have been feeding my dogs the active maturity stuff now, since they had such great coupon deals..they love it...

Where I am at, $5.00 off is alot, the cashier always looks very closely at the coupons..lol

No coupons in my paper yet Sis, sorry..it seems like my area is really dried up..

Happy New Year!

I love this thread!!

Andrea, I am thinking of keeping track of what I save this year, just out of curiosity.
I figure one way to do it is just to keep a little card in my wallet. I'll write down the coupon savings after each trip. At the end of the month I will take the card out and save it, and start a new card. In December I can total the whole thing.

Barbszy, That is a great idea! What I was thinking of doing is taking the money that I saved with coupons and stashing that amount in my money bag...so if I save a $1.00 on toothpaste..a $1.00 goes into my money bag..then when it gets close to Christmas, maybe I will have some money to buy gifts with. I do that with money I make from answering surveys, and I was able to buy my husband a nice band sander(Craftsman) for Christmas. It was important to me to buy him a gift with money I earned. So now my thing is to save all I can to sweeten the money bag. lol

Hugs, Janet

I would love to be able to save the money saved at the grocery and using other coupons but that those savings are one way I can afford to work part time with being home with our 2 kids.

Hi Patti, are you moving very far? Moving is such an expense! We rented a Ryder truck when we moved, and still had to trailer one car, and drive another..oh my..I think the truck was more expensive than the stuff we were hauling..never again! I will only take what fits in my van..hee hee
