Good morning "coupon ladies" have not seen my paper yet so don't know if i have any or not to clip sometime today. Tomorrow we start papering the kitchen then the den or other way around actually hope it is the kitchen so can get it back to some semblance of order lol. I have been out of touch lately. I have stacks of coupons that I need to go thru. I need to get better with my coupon shopping. I am hoping everyone had a good weekend. I sounds like many of you are doing very well with your coupon shopping.
I got to use some coupons yesterday too! Every bit I save is great! I also gave some away to people in the store..some things I can't seem to buy..when I can buy a store brand that is just as good.
I am looking for coupons for the Brunette shampoo from John Frieda? Every once in awhile I see one...that is what ZM is using.. I use the blonde stuff even though my hair is darker..lol It is getting lighter again everyday..my 28 days must be up here soon...lol
Do you ever see coupons for coffee pods? Wonder why hey? lol
Also bar soap like Lever? -that is Slim's favorite soap.
I love the $1.00 off coupons on Eclipse mints..then they only cost 69cents! They make a great breath mint, and if you have to take meds..it helps with dry mouth.
For anyone who has been searching for the single cans, of Glucerna, I finally found them at Meijer Stores. They come in two sizes, vanilla and chocolate. Most other stores only carry the 4 pk, & 6 pk ones, and won't seperate for your "FREE" coupon.

Sis, No rush on the shampoo...I just bought a bottle..so I am not out. I am okay on Iams dog food..Moe sent me some..and I will be sending her my campbell labels and box tops..thinking of cereal..do you have any for cold cereal Oatmeal Squares..they are my new cereal of choice. lol
Skip the instant breakfast for now too..I am stocked up for a long time..I hope ZM doesn't get sick of it by then..oh well, I always have Slim..he eats anything..just like Mikey...lol
And I am back on Sensodyne toothpaste..my guys still use crest sensitive..but it was not strong enough for my teeth..sipping tea started to be painful! YIKES!!

I haven't heard from my co-worker this weekend about her sil. I hope he is resting comfortably.
But I got up and had the local news on at 5:30 this morning. It seems there were shots fired at the football game between 2 local junior league teams. One of the teams my boss coaches. 2 people were shot. I could not find out for the life of me if my boss was one of them or not, until it was a decent hour to start calling.
So I called his home, he answered. I didn't identify myself, we speak on phone all week when he buzzes me. I just asked if he was ok. He said yes, who is this? It seems that he was at the other end of the field with the team, and the shooting was behind some bleachers.
We are defending a murder suspect, and the "real killer" is supposed to be mad that the police charged our client, because the "real killer" is a young man who is part of some gang, and wanted to get "credit" for the killing. Can you imagine??? And the dead person is supposed to have been related to the rival gang.
Anyway, I was afraid that this was part of that and someone found out that my boss would be at that game coaching, and was after him there.
If all of this weren't enough, the mother of the woman who rides with me, was admited to a hospital in Philly Friday after suffering heart palpatations.
As you can really imagine, God and I have had quite a few conversations this weekend. It is a good thing we are on good terms.
I have and will have lots of coupons to pass along this week. There were the regular 2 inserts and a P&G insert in my Philadelphia papers. The local paper had the usual 2 very thin inserts.
And the neighbor lady has already started "passing off" the coupons. So thre will be quite a few.
This was a slim shopping week for me at the market. I only needed fruit and the papers. I was going to pick up 10 Ragu with 4 coupons, but the store only had varieties that I don't use, so I saved even more by not getting any.
The corned beef is ready, I have the potatoes, carrots, and cabbage cooking in 2 different pots. I don't keep the broth the cabbage is cooked in, so I cook the potatoes and carrots in half the broth in one pot, and the cabbage in another. No need to pass the gas on to the leftovers. I even store the cabbage separately from the meat and potatoes and carrots. And I make sure there are plenty of veggies for leftovers.
I finished one hat last evening, 9 more to go before I can start something else.

I got to work this morning, and we had a message from our newly hired file clerk. Her son was shot Saturday night. It turns out that her son was the target of the shooting at the football game where my boss was coaching that game.
He is hurt, but up and about. He was shot in the neck, the bullet hitting a vertebrae, but not going into the spinal cord. They are trying to figure out now if they should operate and remove the bullet.
He also knew there was a person at the ballfield that wanted to do him some harm, but he went any, to confront him. This kid is only 19. And there were 3 people who ended up shot, not two, as the newscaster said, and not one as my boss thought.
My other boss, the one who pays my salary, was trying to figure out the odds of this happening. After all, there are only 5 of us in the office.
And, my co-worker whose son-in-law had the heart, said the doctor told him he could have bled to death by removing the nail, not staple as we previously thought he had shot himself with. He's home, resting comfortably. Not allowed to go anywhere or do anything for at least a month.
Then she tells us one of her best friend's husband's also had a heart attack over the weekend.
It must be something in the water for all these people to have such horrible things happen to them that the 5 of us know or are related to.
It has been an awful weekend. Prince is fine though.

I had a SUPER shopping trip this morning. Got DH's coffee at Walmart. He likes that General Foods International Powdered Coffee-Like Substance and WM has it the cheapest. I remembered my coupons and saved
Then I went to Shop Rite, spent $56, saved with sale and coupons $73 That included 8 FREE Carolina rice packets, 2 18-pks of AA batteries for a total of $3, 4 packs of those new Entenmann snack cakes for 85 cents each, cereal with coupon 4 for $5....I got a total of 55 items. And the catalina machine gave me 2 coupons for $2 off Melitta coffee, so I'll be hoarding those until the next sale on Melitta. YUM. Their Columbian is fantastic.
