Luke is 4. He wants to be a pirate. I cut down one of the bigger kids' old blue sweatshirts into a "vest" for him. We have a white dress shirt and black jeans. He'll just wear his sneakers (we believe in comfy feet on Halloween). We have a red bandanna already for his head, and a sword, so all I need to pick up is the eye patch!

The Big Kids haven't decided yet on what they will wear.

My son, Jason, wants to be "Jason" from the Friday the 13th movies.
I knew he would eventually end up dressing like that character! It only took 10 years.
I bought the mask and a katana sword for his costume. The rest we'll make up from his own clothes.
It's good it's so cheap, money is getting tighter with hubby out of work.

My son finally decided that he wants to be a skeleton. It's easy enough for me to make using a black sweat shirt and pants. I have a pattern for the bones too. I haven't decided how I am going to attach them to the sweats because I would like for him to be able to wear the sweats when his is done with the costume. I might paint them on though and he could sleep in them ~~~still thinking about it.

They are having a Fall Festival at his school on the night of his BD--Oct 27. I am working the festival since I am his class parent. We are encouraged to dress up too but unless I can come up with something cheap but still decent looking, I'm not going to do it.

I like the "science project gone mad" costume!!

Tami, if you cut the bones out of felt or craft foam, you can just "baste" them on to the sweats. Then you can cut them off later.

The year my daughter went as a dalmation dog I cut circles out of black felt and glued them onto a white sweatsuit with Elmers glue since is washs out.

DD1 is going back and forth between being a vampire or death. We have a cape and the ropes so just need to decide for the finishing touches.

DD2 says a pumpkin (thinking a pumpkin trash bag stuffed with paper) but if she goes as Darth Vader we have everything for that.
