Dark Undereye Circles

As I've gotten older the area under (and actually around) my eye has become darker and darker. I've not really found anything I am happy with to cover them up. Do any of you have any recommendations? Any techniques? Thanks.

use a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. put the concealer only on the dark part under your eye. usually that is from the inside corner to under your pupil parts of your under eye area. if you carry it out to the outter corner of your eye, you end up highlighting the whole area instead of concealing it.
blend it in so there is no line. and do not use a lot of concealer. a little bit goes along way. too much makes your eyes look puffy.

lightly dust it with powder to hold it in place.

if that doesn't cover it up, try a light green concealer. the green counteracts the dark purply color. start with just a little bit and pat it on. apply your foundation and set with powder.

when the cosmetic counters at the department stores offer their free makeovers, have one done and ask them to help you with any problems you are having. even if they aren't offering free makeovers, many of them are happy to answer your questions.
tell them you have your concealer already but you can't seem to apply it correctly and they should show you step by step how to apply it.

if your eyes aren't puffy before putting on makeup, then, yep that's probably why. if they are puffy to begin with, you can use a little preperation h to get the puffiness to go away. i've never tried it, i've only read about it. but i would start with just a little bit since the skin under your eye is sensitive and i wouldn't use it everyday, just when going out for an evening or something important like that.

Up until a year or so ago I had never had a problem with puffiness or circles under my eyes. It's amazing what the aging process can do to a person! Just as this started, as luck would have it, I received a sample of Loreal Hydrafresh Circle Eraser with Magnesium, Calcium and Vit. C. (I already use a Vit C moisturizer). This stuff works fantastically! One of mydd's received a sample too but since she is young and doesn't suffer with puffiness--yet--she gave it to me. It only takes a small dab to get rid of the puffiness and dark circles and it's FAST. I highly recommend it.

Avon makes a treatment called "lighten up undereye treatment" and I use it regularly, and Mary Kay has one too but I don't know the name!

The Avon under eye treatment is wonderful, but, I love the new Anew Ultimate. I received a sample and my dark circles are much better. I also take lots of vitamins!

dark circles under eyes

I have had dark circles under my eyes all my life....somedays I look like a racoon. all of the above products are good, and you need to find what works best for you. I finally just gave up accepted the racoon eyes, somedays I'm zorro, and the gray hair, and the misapplied fat deposits. I am more at ease, and more accepting of myself than I used to be. A lot of this has to do with family genes. If grandma had it, you can be pretty sure you will to
The 21st century for me is acceptance. Acceptance of how I look
due to age or what ever, and acceptance that there is always someone out there somewhere who shakes their head at me and says, "she should take better care of herself". That's okay, look at all the money I have saved not buying all this stuff to stay pretty. I hope you find the product that does the trick for you. Racoon eyes will be looking at you and saying "WOW" you look good.
