Conversion help needed please

People helped me out here with the conversion with cups = pounds and ounces

I have found a lovely looking breakfast recipe and would like another conversion please if possible.
It says to use 1 cup of milk what does 1 cup equal as in fl oz or litres please or is it a full standard mug size please

Thank you

That site will help you with dry ingredients, since you weigh and we measure.

For liquids:

1 cup = 8 fl. ounces
1 pint = 16 fl. ounces
1 quart = 32 fl. ounces
1 gallon = 128 fl. ounces

I only know that
1 pint = 600mls of liquid, but also
1 cup = 250 mls
4 cups =1 litre

I also know that our cups are a bigger size than the US ones and so is 1 tablespoon.

Kathy, those sites have both the US & English measurements. I have seen alot of recipes that calls for mls or litres & wasn't sure how that measured in US measurements, so that is a help to get the measurements right.

If its not in US measurements I could guarantee you wouldn't eat if I made it. I'm terrile and measuring things.
Debs, please pass that recipe on, we always need something new to try.

madmum, do you have trouble getting an American measuring cup and spoon? I didn't realize until Kathy mentioned it, that they are different.
