Banana Spice Cookies
½ cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup mashed bananas 2-3 bananas
2 cup flour
2 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. cinnamon
¼ tsp. baking soda
¼ tsp. ground cloves
¼ tsp. salt
½ cup chopped nuts opt.
2 eggs
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and banans, mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add to cream mixture and mix well. Stir in nuts if using.
Chill (dough will be very soft) Drop onto greased baking sheets.
Bake 350º minutes
Tastes just like banana bread. A little longer to make but easier to eat. No slicing.
