No Bake Cookies

1 pkg. (1 pound) marshamallows
2 cups ( 12 oz) chocolate chips
1/4 cup margarine
3 cups rice krispies cereal
1 can ( 12 oz) salted peanuts

In a pan cook and stir marshmallows, chips, and margarine till marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from heat and stir in cereal and peanuts. Drop onto waxed paper and let cool. If you drop by the tablespoon you will end up with about 6 1/2 dozen "Cookies"

This would be a great snow day or rainy day recipe to make with the kids.

I've "smooshed" it all together and pressed down into a greased pan too, use a 8 x 8 for really thick or a larger pan for thinner ones you can cut into bars, almost like a "krispie treat".

That's a great idea. I'd probably do that, too. There's a chance for snow tonight so there's a chance of no school tomorrow. If that happens, I think that I have everything on the list to make these. Maybe this will stop my kids' bickering back and forth with each other for a while.

It was easy and awesomely good! The combination of sweet and salty was fantastic!
I forgot to melt the chips into the marshmallow, so I sprinkled them on top of the warm mixture. Most melted and the whole thing was oh so good! We'll make it again!
