Chocolatey Pumpkin cookies

1 cup sugar----1 cup shortening----1 cup of canned pumpkin----1 egg----1 teaspoon vanilla extract----2 cups of all-purpose flour----1 teaspoon baking soda----1/2 teaspoon of salt----1 teaspoon of cinnamon----1 cup of semi sweet chocolate chips--------------------------Frosting recipe~~1/2 cup brown sugar --3 teaspoons of butter--3 teaspoons of milk-1 1/2 cup of powdered sugar. Combind brown sugar, butter and milk in small saucepan. Bring mixture to a boil over medium heat, boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add powdered sugar. Beat at medium speed with electric mixer until smooth. ----------------COOKIES....Beat sugar and shortening at medium speed with electric mixer until creamy. Add pumpkin, egg and vavanilla, beating until blended and set aside. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamondin a small bowl, gradually add to shortening mixture, beating well. Fold in chocolate chips. ....Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until goden brown on bottom. Remove to wire racks to cool. Drizzle with frosting. Makes 2 dozen.....
