1 cup butter or margerine, room temperature
1 3/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
11/2 teaspoons peppermint extract
11/2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
sprinkle of salt
1 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
mix together (may have to use hands) and drop by teaspoon on greased foil lined sheets
bake 350 for exactly 9 minutes.
These are chewy on the inside, crispy on the outside.
My 14 year old dd made these for a storm day treat and they turned out perfect. Recipe makes about 5-6 dozen.
