No thanks giving here so that's easy for me LOL

Christmas eve we don't do very much for a dinner we usually get a take away meal as for most of this day I prepare as much before hand for christmas day.

My must haves for the day are ham and chicken and it's usually cold as are all the dishes. I make an ice cream plum pudding for dessert. If lunch is here.

The rest is all negotiable as we rotate christmas lunch between our families and it depends on what they want as their menu as to what we need to bring along.

Sweet things I always make are white chirstmas, rocky road, I like fruit mince pies but have never made good ones LOL so I buy them

Holiday meals are just DH and me as I don't like traveling that time of year. We usually do some things I can prepare ahead and just relax for the day and do what we want. DH will usually watch something on TV and so will I(usually in different rooms because he will be watching sports). We eat (what I've posted earlier), as a fixed meal for lunch and then for supper just heat in the microwave what we want when we get hungry.

Meals do not have to be "elaborate" etc what ever makes the two of you happy and content.

I think my Thanksgiving and Christmas this year will be super special. Lets just say as of today things are more peaceful here (sorry can not comment) being in the 1 story house and all is great plus other things.

Haley's grandmom

This has been tradition in our family for many years.Matter of fact our daughter enjoyed Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day. I have always made up party platters of finger rolls, cheese trays, and meat platter with different types of rolls. Plus chips and dip and crackers with cheese. I make up a fruit style punch along with sodas this way when family and friends pop in they just help themselves. Our daughter always begged me to do this every year. It's so much fun when you have all your family around, but, now there on their own and spread all over the United States from Maine to Ari zonia
