Does anyone have a recipe for a hot drink that I've heard called Christmas Tea, however it doesn't actually have "tea" in it. It's more like a hot punch. I think I recall the ingredients, but don't remember the amounts to put in. It has red hots, sugar, water, orange juice, lemon juice, cranberry juice, and I think cloves. I just can't find the recipe. Thanks for your help!!!!
That recipe sounds good, but the one I'm searching for doesn't have actual tea in it, but it's called Christmas Tea ???? It's more like a hot fruit drink or punch.
Thanks! That sounds like it would be about the same. I have a friend that thinks she might have the one I'm looking for in a book at home. I'll post it if she finds it. Otherwise I will be using the Hot Wassail one. Thanks again.
2 C. Sugar
3/4 C. Red Hots
4 Whole Cloves
4 C. Water
4 C. Cranberry Juice
2 C. Orange Juice
1/2 C. Lemon Juice
2 - 3 Qts. Water
Combine, sugar, candies, cloves and 4 C. water in large kettle. Heat, stirring frequently until candies dissolve. Add the juices and 2 - 3 qts. water and simmer. Serve hot. Makes a huge batch, but could be cut down.
