Donna I am not baking quite as much this year.....trying to keep the holidays low key this year.
I will make my tourtierre for Christmas eve. I have already made a pumpkin pie, apple pie and pecan cream cheese pie. I will make a lemon merangue at christmas.
I have gumdrop loaf made and pumpkin loaf. I will make cranberry chip cookies(mikes fav), shortbread, sugar cookies, gingerbread, candy cane cookies, chocolate shortbread triangles, chocolate marshmallow log and i think that will be it this year....might make some fudge and peanut brittle for the teachers.
For breakfast I will make Quiche Lorraine and sticky buns.

Donna what are you making?

Hugs debbie

MMMmm Deb, your Christmas treats sound so yummy! I am on my way over!!

Since I was sick I didn't get the start on my baking I had hoped to but I DID get my cards out yesterday and that was something!

I plan on baking next week !

Molasses sugar cookies
english toffee
Mississippi Mud cake
Ava garlenger chocolates
gingerbread cookies
peaunut blossom cookies

orange butter cookies.

All my family will be here the 28th thru the 31st so will share the goodies, plus, I take tins to all my girlfriends! (Mark, mom and dad and I will celebrate together on Christmas day with church, gift opening and a big turkey dinner!)

Don't know if really is "baking" but I made another batch of Crispix mix with my special additions (honey roasted nuts, Goldfish crackers & pretzels) tonight.

I have made:
Oreo truffles
Gingerbread cookies

To make:
Swedish Tea ring for Christmas am
Tortiere pies for Christmas Eve
More cookies (apricot bars, walnut crescents)
Make choc. walnut fudge, fruit nut balls (apricot/pecan & date/walnut)
Pies - probably pecan & pumpkin
Cranberry nut bread
Pumpkin bread

I make plates of cookies & candies to give as gifts & some for us.

I wish I had a bigger freezer so I could make more ahead.

Pippe

Sharon

Because we are not big fruit cake eaters we have gumdrop cake instead. A basic loaf with baking gumdrops added.

Here is the recipe

1 1/4 cup sugar
2 cup flour
1/2 cup shortening
2/3 cup milk
3 tsp baking powder
1 pkg baking gumdrops(no black)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp salt
Combine and place in a long greased and floured loaf pan
Bake at 350 till done

Sharon could you share the recipe for fudge nuggets and Mexican wedding cookies!

Hugs debbie
