Our Xmas meal is also devided amoung 3 house holds ,My Aunt is bringing perogies and sourkrut buns,I'm bringing coleslaw. meatballs and bean salad, while my niece will cook the turkey, potatoes, veg ,and make cabbage rolls. This will save my niece some of the cost and make it so she doesn,t have to be over tired for Xmas.

I like all kinds of cookies, but the two men in my life, my dh and my ds want peanut butter or oatmeal raisin.

I'm going to make my christmas cake next weekend I'm gathering the ingredients shopping this week.
The weekend after I'm making rocky road and white christmas for dh to take to work and share with the 3 other guys that work for us.
I then make another batch of both of the above and other sweets, maybe choc pretzels (broken packet pretzels coated in choc) coconut rough and whatever else takes my fancy, it's something that goes over the few weeks before christmas and starts 1Dec

My rocky road is pretty easy.
Chocolate to melt
Marshmallows (I use large ones cut in four)
Turkish delight or soft jelly type lollies
Chopped nuts, I use roasted almonds
Cocount, 1/4-1/2 cup (depends on your likes, you can leave it out if you don't like it)
Melt choc and let cool just a bit then add all ingredients and mix till all coated.
Spread into a slice tray and then into the fridge.
Cut into chunks.

Chock coated pretzels are just out of a packet, broken into smallish chunks, mixed with slightly cooled melted choc and just drop teaspoonfulls on baking paper and then refrige. Can do stick, dip one end in choc and the leave the other end out.
Melted choc and coconut for coconut rough, or dried fruit (apricots or raisins are nice) , or roasted nuts.
Have to find the white christmas recipe
