Deb, Thanks! I'll share those recipes as soon as I get home tonight to the recipe box. All the girls here at work took your recipe and want to make it for their grandkids!

Here you go, Deb!

Orange Butter Cookies:

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 t. grated orange peel, finely chopped
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
3 cups flour

Glaze....
1 and a 1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 T. orange juice
1/4 t. orange peel, finely chopped

Beat butter and sugar together.
Beat in 1 t orange peel, egg and vanilla. Gradually mix flour into butter mixture, beat until blended.

On a lightly floured board, roll out dough to 1/8 inch thick.
Cut out with floured cookie cutters of desired shape and place on greased baking sheet.

Bake at 350 until pale golden brown, approx 12 minutes.

Glaze:
Mix powdered sugar and orange juice until smooth, add 1/2 t of orange peel. Brush glaze over warm cookies and let stand until icing is dry.

Deb, these are one of my favorite cookies! I double the recipe and I use star shaped cookie cutters. They come out really pretty!

Ava Garlenger Creamy Chocolate Candies

2 boxes powdered sugar
1 can Eagle Brand
1/2 cup butter, softened
12 oz. package chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

In double boiler, melt together a 1/2 cake of wax with 1 12 oz package chocolate chips.

Mix powdered sugar, eagle brand and butter together. Add walnuts, if desired.
Shape into balls.
Dip into chocolate and let set up on waxed paper in the refrigerator.

hugs, train

This year I am in the process of applying to graduate school, so, my time is limited. However, I saw a terrific recipe on Foodnetwork today for a Dinner Roll Wreath. I think I am going to make that. My DD was upset that she missed out on my dump cake and since that is such an easy recipe, I am going to make that for dessert.

Yesterday I baked gingerbread stars and men, jam drops and a fruit slice.

They will all keep until Christmas IF they LAST until Christmas!! I took 60 of the mini gingerbread stars to Kids Church this morning and my dish came home empty! So I may need to do one more batch of gingerbread this week. I will also make yo-yos and probably chocolate brownies or something very chocolatey. I also have an apricot and white chocolate roll I want to try, but hat will need to be made about Friday to keep I think.
