Craftbits.com

Craftbits.com IS a great site. However, from just opening the page, you first think...Oh, a few nice crafts...How nice. However, once you register, you'll be surprised just how so very much there really is to it. You've got scrap booking, making soaps, herbal recipes for the bath...beadwork, crochet...etc...etc...etc. I'm not affiliated with Craftbits.com in any way other than being a registered user. But, the site is mind boggling once you really get into it. I LOVE IT!
God bless...

Well, once again, I have multiple answers. I tend to shop and craft all year long for Christmas so I answered that I start both. It is not necessarily just another day since I tend to take stock of where I am and what else I would like to do during July.

Christmas in July is just another day for me. I normally start my christmas gift shopping/making for the next year before this year's gifts are even given out. I have made little cross stitch stocking for my siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncle, neices, nephews and cousins (did I forget anyone) for the next two years! I love making Yule Candles for everyone I know, especially since candle making has growing popularity around here, there's more and more to choose from. My all time fav though is picking up those tiny pinecones from Hemlock trees and coating them in scented wax and then tying them together with misteltoe on the end!

I start my Christmas shopping , I get wood crafts to start painting to hang on the Christmas tree, I look for wood crafts like small boxes to paint and decorate for Christmas presents. Each year I change the theme for our tree and that is what I look for to paint. I let the kids and grandkids help paint them so when christmas is over I put that years theme in a special box and every 5th year when we celebrate we hang all those items from the previous year on the tree to celebrate life of Jesus and life of living remembering how fun it was. try this idea it is fun and the kids get a kick out of things they had painted when they were younger.

My family did our shopping last year on Christmas eve and store were closing, so we did not have anything for Christmas. In the Philippines, our Christmas starts on Septermber and this is because of the word "ber (beer)". Septem(ber), Octo(ber), Novem(ber), and Decem(ber).

this must be the oddest thing i have ever heard. here we have sales for summer items in july. but i do must say that in last years shops have started selling christmas stuff as early as in october. it is way to commercial for me to start christmastime before first advent.
i must confess that i do some shopping after cristmas when everything is on sale. and i start cross stiching some christmascards when foliage is over and snow isn't here.

I always have good intentions of making things and then never get around to it and end up spending more on store bought gifts or gift certificates. This year I already have a pillow case set to embroider and some soap kits to make, so I better start getting busy because we will not be able to spend as much this year.
