Stockings

What kinds of things do you put in your childrens and husbands Christmas Stockings?

I put candy, nuts, pens and notepads, small aftershaves, socks, chapstick and small gifts like that in my husbands stocking.
We do not have children but I do have 5 small nieces that we buy a ornament for every year!

peace,train

It depends on what the kids are interested in at the particular time. Mine are adults but they still like the stockings! DH stocking has a CD in it, haven't finished shopping yet so I don't know what else I'll be putting in it.

I have toothbrushes for my kids, foot powder and toothpaste so far.

Usually I put candy in but this year DH & DD said no candy
I'll put fruit in my sons since he does not still live at home
, and candy for him. The others will be a challenge.

What a great question! I put things in my children's stockings like toothbrush and tooth paste, chapstick, small note pads and pens, large candy canes and those small bags of chocolate candy coins, camera film, small items like travel size bottles of shampoo, soaps etc. to restock their overnight bags. For my daughter I might add earrings, a sticker book of fairies or something she'd like, pretty socks, a small bottle of perfume or a new hair brush etc. For my sons I might add a unique matchbox car, sticker books they are interested in like snakes or reptiles, small key chains or games. Sometimes I also put a large naval orange in the toe of each stocking which takes up space and is great for breakfast Christmas morning! I try to find things that are unique but inexpensive. Maybe I will get some new ideas from this thread.

Great question and love the answers we are getting. I too might learn of something diff to put in my grands or my 2 daughters that live here in house with me. My one daughter quit smoking in Feb and was on the gum and patch but has past that stage but using the Nicorette got here use to chewing gum so now she is using one of the gums out there can not for the life of me think of the name of it but will buy up several packs of it and put those in her stocking. With the boys will put gum in the older one, gift card to CD place or Sony game place, for the little one stickers he loves them, small cars to add to his huge collection of them, something Spiderman, candy in theirs and other daughter's. I too do the toothbrush, comb, small shampoos etc.

God bless all

Great question !

I just fix a stocking for my son. I usually put in small toys, christmas candy, trading cards of all kinds (he collects those). He is 8 this year and starting to get interested in music. I like the idea of the gift card. I will keep checking this thread for ideas and share any new ones I come across!

For DD I usually put in hair ribbons and clips. A new hair brush. Lip gloss. Play jewelery that I get at the $tree. And I try to find a pink or purple hot wheel for her.

DS is 12 now and I have no idea what to put in his. He thinks he is so grown up. So any ideas there would be helpful.
