I'm sorry not to have responded sooner, but I was out of town and away from a computer for two weeks. Here are the links to the two projects I mentioned, and I will post them on my Craftlinky website when I have time.

For 2011 ...
I've not actually started the pressies for christmas but I have done the experimentation on what I will make once Dec rocks around.

I found a chocolate sauce recipe for milk drinks, over ice cream etc
I'm doing rum 'n' raisins or apricots in brandy.
Muesli and I've found a couple of meat seasonings to mix up and store.
I have bought my jars on special
I decided on food stuffs as it's hard to store/keep actual physical things for the folks these days and it's something different and a batch you can divide up between a few people. I will think on other things

I have been picking up gifts for stockings. When I find good sales on health & beauty items (body wash, lotions, lip balms, etc.), I've been buying them. I have a box in the basement that I put everything in so I don't forget what I have already.

I'm also working on a cross stitch project for DD1 and her fiance. They are getting married on Oct. 22nd. It is a very simple modern wedding sampler that you put in a double frame with a photo. Hopefully, we'll have their wedding pictures back by Christmas. If not, I'll use a "non-professional" photo.

I have one of those plastic totes/tubs that I have started stashing things for diff ones. NOTHING in there for Judy or she would see it lol. Steven does not know about it so can stash small things for him. I have few things in there for Susie/Stacie/Steven/Sheila/Jordan think that is all. Oh few stocking things too

I have rewards cards for several stores and every time I get a certificate ($10, $15. $20 etc.) I use it towards purchasing a Christmas gift for someone. I also watch for sales. Yankee Candles had a buy one jar get one free sale so I have already bought candles for my sisters in law. I keep lists on the computer of ideas of what to get people and of who I have to buy for and what I got each of them including my husband and kids.

I write down what I get each year and for who that way hopefully will not repeat myself again the next year unless it is something I know they would like
again. Some things are just traditional gift like Judy she always wants bedroom shoes, Gina likes Angels and Candles (loves Yankee ones). Stacie & Susie would be lost without their yearly calendars, for Suz it is with cats/kittens and Stacie a mixture so never know till I see "the" calendar which I will get for her. Both are in the stash now

I sell Avon, so buying for the girls is easy (usually jewerly and bath products) and for the guys it's gadgets and 1 colonge set. Then whatever else I find they need I can make (wants are usually too expencive). I hide it in plain site until I wrap it and they haven't figured that out yet lol. I'm usually done by Aug. but I'm a little slow this yr. I've gotten most of it and wrapped it, so it's now out of site.
For friends and others (not family) I make cookie trays or baked goods. I also make up cookie mixes in a jar, flavored teas and oils I put in decorative containers and bottles from the dollar stores. I have 4 who said they were placing their orders for the same thing I made them last yr. lol Rum balls made with coffee liquor, Irish Cream, and Ameretto. They're fun to make and I've already started collecting the vanilla waffers! Those small bottles of liquor that look like sample bottles usually hold 1/2 cup which is just what each recipe calls for...................... works unless you have several batches to make lol

I've started by buying cheap cookie cutters from Walmart from their after christmas sales in January and will make aprons and buy cookie mixes for my grand daughters. Bought 2 night gowns on sale for the 2 older DD's and 2 CPO jackets for oldest DS and S-Inlaw. So have got some Shopping done already. I did cut out a large frog pattern for DGS who will be 3 next month. Guess better get a move on doing the sewing I need to get done soon or Christmas will be here be I know it. LOL!!!!!
