I agree too. If the toys had been made in America by American Workers lead contamination would not be a issue, if it were you would definitely have a "Whistle Blower" tell.
If children are old enough to play with Pony beads, that's a good choice too. Look for pony beads made in america... I know Bolek's are where I buy mine.
I forgot to mention, the 8 year old visiting nephew... we don't know him well as his Dad doesn't keep in touch except at Christmas so we will get him a gift card to a local dept. store and just hope his Dad and step mom are honest enough to let him buy what he wants with it.
