BtB2006, When my last son was born, I had his foot and handprint done..it was a bronze cast and made into a plaque..I have them tucked away in a drawer now, but when I come across them, it brings back such wonderful memories..his little foot, his little hand, ...now he is 6ft. -size 11 foot..and large man hands...it seems to me that time flew so fast! But I still can revisit those earlier times!

Hugs, Janet

Last year my oldest daughter sent us pictures of our granddaughter and grandson in beautiful silver frames, and each of a picture that they drew for us.I thought it was such a nice thought from them.

How about a basket with hot chocolate, cookies, candies,or anything that grandma would like.decorate the basket, add some holly to it.

Or towels/facecloths rolled and perfumes tucked inside the facecloths inside a basket,my daughters did that one year for me with scented fancy soaps and I still have them.

Take prints of your kids hands with washable paints, have them put their prints on a piece of white card stock, let it dry and put their names in glitter on it and place inside a shadow box with some dried flowers.

One year I took my granddaughters first booties and put them into a shadow box along with her birth announcement, and hospital bracelet,a miniature baby carriage and bottle and it was a big hit with the grandparents.

I could go on and on and on,but I haven't slept yet and I am going to try and get some sleep now.

Night everyone or is it morning, lol
