Mini gift boxes

These are really cute and a good way to use up old Christmas cards. Or any cards or cardstock for that matter.

I'm going to pull out the used Christmas cards that I saved and start making small gift boxes so I'm ready at Christmas.

Here's the directions again at a different website as diynetwork no longer carries it.

This is cool, but I'm a little confused. It says to add some to the bottom so the top will fit over it.. if the bottom is bigger, how is the top going to fit over it? I would think it would be the other way around.. make the top a shade bigger so it will fit over the bottom.

That is probably a typo you do want the bottom to be a bit smaller so the bottom will fit inside the top.

Happy face

I've been playing around with this for over an hr & couldn't figure out why the bottom would be bigger LOL. If the bottom was bigger, the top would fit inside the bottom. I'm going to make some of those for my ornies for the exchange. Thanks for posting it & thanks to whoever posted the other link that had alot of small ornaments on it. Those are really cute & easy to make.

I think I am going to follow Minny's idea and maybe make some for the exchange. We'll see. I'm so busy though I dont know if I'll get to do any thing for it.

I've seen these boxes at craft shows too. They were beautifully made and selling like hot cakes.
