Hi Vivian,
Sorry, but I don't know if that would work. I have never worked with glass paints. I bet they could be beautiful because of all the great colors. The tiles I use are just under 4x4 in size and have an irregular texture. I have not bought any recently but, when I got them, they came 9 in a box and cost around 6 dollars a box. [sorry, i can't remember for sure, it was about 2 years ago.] I got the cork coaster at Ikea. [12 for 2 or 3 dollars] If you try them, please let us know how they turned out. Best of luck with your projects.

Some tiles are glass, right? I think I've seen them used on home do-over shows.

I asked the guy @ the hardware store whose wife is into crafting w/ the ceramic tiles, and he said to use the smooth ones. I have to clean them and wipe them w/ alcohol, and then paint them. I bake the paint on as directed by the perma paint directions. I really like the 4x6" ones for trivits, and will probably try them first.
I have a table top frame I wanted to paint tiles for so will experiment with the trivits first. If it works then I will measure the frame and start painting the tiles for the table. I may keep it or give it to dd#1 as the table they have now is really too small for their family. I'll have to wait till May or June to get started as I have too many irons in the fire as is. lol
I've been collecting assorted baskets for Christmas presents @ garage and estate sales. Only need a few more and I'll start getting items sorted into them. Will probably wait till fall to actually wrap them so they'll look fresh and new. Found some nice shaped ones, but will clean and paint them to look new. Ddg found a nice basket and said she'd like her present in it. Yes, it was a laundry basket. lol I told her it would be great but she'd only get one present.............. she put it back.
I'm also making a list of ingredients for the jar mixes. I get the ingredients that won't spoil and then in Oct. I start making up the jars and baskets. Its a lot easier on the budget!

Yes! We are out there! I am working on a few small cross stich pieces for ornaments or cards and am going to start quilling some ornaments. They come out so nice and lacey and look lovely on the tree! Also, on Halloween I try to get my Christmas cards in order while waiting for the kiddies. So much to do and so little time!

But I am still doing my ornaments for this year...and working on Glass bowl Snowmen...and Painted Corner Snowmen and now I am working on painting on frying pans...yep I said Frying Pans...
