Shawn..love the idea for the firefighter party........ i love doing "homemade parties" from the invitatations to the cake. I gave my 9 year old a "dress up" party, 2 years ago, and the girls are still talking about it!! This year we are leaning toward either a tea party or.. she LOVES the twins Mary-Kate and Ashley so I thought about a "twins" party. haven't worked out any details on those yet..... any ideas? The parents always comment on the homemade invites.. like the dress up party... we designed, colored and cut out little dresses. I'm not into the "store-bought birthday parties, or the fast food type. I like old-fashion ones. i work and have to plan and be very organized, but it is so worth it to see all the kids having so much fun and still talking about it the next year. I love to bake and be creative. I decorated cakes for 15 years, but came up with much easier and funner ideas than all that frosting.
My son will be 7 this summer so I'm working on ideas...... I bought some racing car paper plates at a yard sale ( new!!) and bought some jello molds shaped like race cars... so probably will do a race car theme.lol........ His Dad is Law Enforcement and loves anything with sirens..... so have to think about it.
