Party Disco

Both of my eldest daughters have had "Party Discos", we have a families club here which let us use the disco room for free, a friend of ours provided the disco, or my husband does it, I baked a cake, make some party food and the kids all came in fancy dress , we played games such as musical bumps, musical statues and pass the parcel. We all had a great time, loads of presents for the girls and no mess in my home! Fantastic!

They want a "splash party" this year, a party at the swimming pool, argggggh I am trying to talk them out of that one!

what lovely ideas! i have a few in mind if we end up doing it too. It is not really the food aspect that was worrying me a bit, it is the aspect of safety and chaos, they are only 5-6 years old! I know there will be lifeguards and probably parents who will help, but she will want to invite all her class and other friends (probably 30ish kids!) and normally I don't mind all that much when she has a disco or playland party, but at the pool???, I doubt that they are all very competent swimmers. It scares me a bit! Some parents will just bring their kids and leave them without even saying how well they can swim. We will all need eyes everywhere!
Also, I have found out that it will cost £40 (about $60.70) to hire before we even start on the food! I am currently talking her out of it! We may have a party disco with a sea/swimming theme, with the type of ideas you have suggested. She has a lovley mermaid outfit she can wear, so I think I will work on that idea instead! Thankyou!
